Weiner Dog Races and Costume contest.

 The 8th annual Dachshund Races just took place Labor Day weekend 2008.

We had a blast, we took 3 of our little buddies. Muffin, Clayton and Blossom.

Here are some pictures from this weekend, they are going on through Labor Day. Labor day is the finals.

This was their first time ever racing. They got the hang of it very quickly.

            Muffin

Muffin is in the finals as Best Dressed Female, she won the class Friday. Muffin dressed as a duck.

Muffin also raced great, she was in the senior division, 9 years and over.

She took 3rd in her heat Friday and on Saturday took 3rd in the 1st heat but cam back strong and won first place in her second heat. 

                        Blossom

Blossom was dressed as a flower blossom and was not a happy camper about it, she wouldn't walk the runway but still looked adorable.

Blossom took a close second in the races on Friday, But cleaned up on Saturday by winning first in both her heats to finish as Puppy Champion and qualify for Mondays races.

Blossom  WON !! 

Puppy Champion of Champions on Monday at the races for the fastest puppy there all weekend.

Muffin  above.

Muffin the duck, Clayton the skunk and Blossom the flower blossom.

        Clayton

Clayton took Best Dressed male on Friday as a Skunk, and  is in the finals.

Clayton also did good in his races in the adult division 1-8 years old, he took 3rd on Friday (just warming up), he took 2nd on Saturday because he stopped looking for food on the track, oh well there is always next year. 

 And of course many thanks to my great helpers.
