Here are a few pictures of a few of the rescues that we have taken in over the years and that are still with us.

Lenny - Lenny was abandoned and left wandering the streets.

Joy- Joy was going for slaughter because she had bad legs and could no longer race.

Oscar - Oscar is our steer, he was thrown on a manure pile and left for dead as a baby. 9 years later he is still with us, he is also on a greeting card with American Greetings.

Cheyenne- Cheyenne was from a racing stable she was blind in one eye and had an bad hernia so she was destined for slaughter. We took her in, vetted her, trained her for a pleasure horse and placed her in a loving home.

Koa our caracal, a cat native to northern Africa and India. Koa came to live with us 10 years ago when his owner moved and couldn't take him with her due to the animal laws in the state of Connecticut.

Arthur- Arthur was thrown in a dumpster 4 years ago as a kitten, after being mauled by another animal and left for dead. He made a complete recovery and now rules the place.

Elsie- Elsie was dumped 9 years ago pregnant. She had 4 beautiful kittens that we found loving homes for, she was then spayed.  She is still with us toady. Elsie was also on an American Greetings Card this Mothers Day with one of her kittens. Here she is pictured above mothering some ducklings.

 Kira - Kira came to us 10 years ago, she had been a junk yard dog tied to an engine block on a 2 foot chain in the back of a junk yard. Kira has done agility and obedience and graduated at the top of her class in obedience.

Sylvester - Sylvester the fox was bought as a baby and then became to much work for his owners.

 Nellie- Nellie is a wolf hybrid, she came to us at just 1 week old, her mother was put down after she had Nellies litter because she bit some one, she left 7 pups behind. We bottle raised Nellie and she did educational programs with us for many years. She now lives in New York with a friend and still enjoys going to schools for programs.
